Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret welding specifications, blueprints, and manuals
- Operate manual, semi-automatic, automated, and robotic welding equipment
- Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards
- Perform flame-cutting; operate brakes, shears, bending, and arc-air cutting machines
- Fit, braze, torch-straighten metal; maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
Working Conditions:
- Noisy plant environment; fast-paced, physically demanding; standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination; lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs); overtime required
