Responsibilities:

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Use brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components.
  • Determine the weldability of materials.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Additional Information:

  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, hand-eye coordination, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Own Tools/Equipment Required: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, face shield.
