Requirements:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management
- Experience: 5 years or more in a supervisory role
Responsibilities:
- Develop specific plans to prioritize and organize tasks to accomplish work
- Oversee and plan the operational logistics of the organization
- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Prepare and submit reports and arrange maintenance and repair work
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Recruit and hire staff, train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews
- Coordinate, assign, and review work among more than 20 staff members, including shippers and receivers
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and organize and maintain inventory
Credentials:
- CPR Certificate and Forklift Operator Certification required
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in various software such as inventory control software, ERP software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, SAP, and Shopify
Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Must handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs)
