Requirements:

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a supervisory role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop specific plans to prioritize and organize tasks to accomplish work
  • Oversee and plan the operational logistics of the organization
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Prepare and submit reports and arrange maintenance and repair work
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff, train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work among more than 20 staff members, including shippers and receivers
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and organize and maintain inventory

Credentials:

  • CPR Certificate and Forklift Operator Certification required

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in various software such as inventory control software, ERP software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, SAP, and Shopify

Work Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Must handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs)
