Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technology/Technician or Medium/Heavy Vehicle and Truck Technology/Technician
  • Experience: 5 years or more
  • Certificates:
    • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
    • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
    • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Operate and maintain backhoe equipment
  • Discuss work with supervisor
