Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technology/Technician or Medium/Heavy Vehicle and Truck Technology/Technician
- Experience: 5 years or more
- Certificates:
- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
- Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
- Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Job Responsibilities:
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
- Operate and maintain backhoe equipment
- Discuss work with supervisor
