Overview:
- Languages: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Responsibilities:
- Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
Credentials:
- AZ Class License required
Experience and Specialization:
- Knowledge of documentation including driver logbook, inspection reports, and trip reports
- Experience in dry bulk and tractor-trailer trucking
- Transportation experience in international, long-haul, and national settings
