Job Details:

  • Location: Various (8616 Hwy 7, Limehouse, ON, L0P 1H0; Brampton, ON, L6Z 0E2)
  • Workplace: On the road (frequent or constant travel required)
  • Salary: $36.00 hourly / 35–40 hours per week

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train (no prior experience required)
  • Credentials: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement

Job Responsibilities:

  • Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations
  • Obtain special permits and documents for international cargo transport
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Inspect vehicle condition (tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, equipment)
  • Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarp cargo and ensure safety/security of loads
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods

Experience and Specialization:

  • Documentation: Driver logbook, trip reports
  • Equipment: Flatbed trucks
  • Transportation: Long-haul trucking
