- Salary: $34.50 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week

Qualifications Needed:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Responsibilities:
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using GPS or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns with professionalism
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
Credentials:
- Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses:
- AZ class license
- Air Brakes Endorsement
Experience and Specialization:
- Documentation knowledge (Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report)
- Type of trucking and equipment: Tractor-trailer
- Communication systems experience (Operate GPS and other navigation equipment)
- Transportation/travel experience includes local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, and regional trucking
