Job Details:

  • Location: 34 Perdue Court, Caledon, ON L7C 3M6
  • Salary: $55,000 to $73,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 35 to 70 hours per week
  • Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Conditions:
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. This position is categorized as a green job due to its contribution to positive environmental outcomes.


Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Provide professionalism in customer service.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Load and unload goods safely.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping as necessary.

Credentials:

  • AZ Class License
  • Air Brakes Endorsement (Z)
  • Valid passport and basic security clearance

Experience and Specialization:
Candidates should have knowledge of documentation relevant to trucking, including accident reports, bill of lading, driver logbooks, and inspection reports. Experience with refrigerated and tractor-trailer equipment is preferred.


Personal Suitability:
Candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
