Job Details:
- Location: 3196 Mainway, Burlington, ON L7M 1A5
- Salary: $35.00 hourly / 35 hours per week
- Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
- Start Date: As soon as possible

Qualifications Necessary:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Responsibilities of the Job:
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Provide professionalism in customer service.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Load and unload goods safely.
- Obtain special permits and documents required for transporting cargo on international routes.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping as needed.
- Maintain work records and logs.
Credentials:
- AZ Class License
Experience and Specialization:
Candidates should have knowledge of documentation relevant to trucking, including accident reports, driver logbooks, inspection reports, and trans-border documentation. Experience in both national and international transportation is preferred.
Work Conditions:
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Candidates should be prepared for work that may involve handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks.
