Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Credentials: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement
- Specialization: Communication systems, GPS navigation equipment, International, local, long-haul, and provincial/territorial transportation experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Perform mountain driving with expertise
- Provide professional customer service
- Inspect vehicle condition including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment
- Handle payments for goods
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Communicate with central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Working Conditions:
- On-site work only, no remote option
- Requires valid passport and driver’s licence
- Driving record check required
- Willingness to travel cross-border, internationally, and overnight
