Job Details:

  • Salary: $35.00 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week

Qualifications Needed:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required for transporting cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments and conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure safety and security of cargo, including tarping and transporting dangerous goods.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.

Credentials:

  • Certificates: AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.

Working Conditions:

  • On-the-road work; frequent or constant travel is required.
  • Must be willing to travel for extended periods and overnight.

Physical Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding work, including repetitive tasks and sitting for long periods.
