Responsibilities:
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer’s specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Coach and instruct apprentices
Credentials Required:
- Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
Experience and Specialization:
- Knowledge in areas such as electrical and electronic systems, diagnostics, brake systems, fuel and emission systems, drive train components, and truck-trailer repair
