Responsibilities:
- Coordinate access and use of computer networks for optimal performance.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks, as well as computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Provide problem-solving services to network users, addressing their technical issues effectively.
- Perform routine network startup and shutdown processes while maintaining control records.
- Conduct data backups and disaster recovery operations to protect organizational data.
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software to enhance security measures and optimize server performance.
Work Environment:
- This position requires on-site work; remote work is not an option.
- Engage in a role that may involve repetitive tasks, necessitating strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a college or CEGEP program is required.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in network support or a related field is preferred.
