About Ed’s Truck Service
Ed’s Truck Service is a reputable garage specializing in the repair and maintenance of commercial transport vehicles. We are currently seeking skilled Truck and Coach Technicians to join our team in Nepean. If you are passionate about vehicle maintenance and repairs, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
As a Truck and Coach Technician, your primary duties will include:
- Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
- Inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Confirming findings with supervisors to determine whether to repair or replace components.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services and road testing motor vehicles.
- Documenting and reporting problems and work performed.
- Coaching and instructing apprentices and providing customer service.
Qualifications
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience in truck and coach repair is an asset, with a minimum of 7 months preferred.
Credentials
- Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Valid Class 3 or D Driver’s License.
- WHMIS Certificate.
Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Client-focused with a dependable and organized approach.
Additional Information
- Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is required.
- Overtime may be required.
