Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
- Fit and join sheet metal parts using various techniques.
- Perform welding tasks including Resistance/spot welding and Shielded metal ARC (SMAW).
- Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to achieve desired finishes.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and strict conformity to specifications.
Working Conditions:
- Work must be completed at the physical manufacturing location.
- Involves the use of heavy metalworking machinery and welding equipment.
- Requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols (WHMIS).
