Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Certification: Smart Serve
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages; take orders and relay to kitchen/bar staff
- Greet patrons, present menus, describe daily specials and wine selections
- Advise on menu choices; address customer complaints or concerns
- Present bills and process payments (cash, credit, debit, traveller’s cheques)
- Enforce liquor legislation and regulations; ensure legal age for alcohol service
- Balance cash, record sales; clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- Assist guests with special needs; provide excellent customer service
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment; standing for extended periods; work under pressure
- Lift and carry up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- On-site only; own transportation or public transit available
