School Bus Driver

Job Details:

  • Location: Concord, ON
  • Salary: $20.50 to $22.50 hourly (to be negotiated) / 20 hours per week
  • Type of Employment: Permanent, Part-time
  • Shift: Day, On Call, Early Morning
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Vacancies Available: 100 vacancies

Qualifications:

  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Responsibilities:

  • Operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers.
  • Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Complete logbooks and reports.
  • Communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems.
  • Ensure children’s safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing the street while the bus is stopped.
  • Maintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviors that could compromise safety.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to oversee all aspects of the vehicle.

Additional Information:

  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check and medical exam required.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract required; the vehicle will be supplied by the employer.
