Overview:

  • Languages: English or French
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work Environment:

  • Site Environment: At heights, noisy, dusty, and outdoors. Work is conducted at various locations for commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs.
  • Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, including modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Instruct apprentices and assist in their training.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.

  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs). The role involves repetitive tasks and working under pressure.
