Requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to assess work requirements
- Use measuring tools to prepare layouts following building codes
- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials (wood, substitutes, lightweight steel)
- Build foundations, install floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roofs
- Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Instruct apprentices
- Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures in:
- Residences
- Mills, mines, hospitals
- Industrial plants and similar facilities
