Qualifications Required:
- Education: College/CEGEP
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop budgets for food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies
- Adjust food preparation methods and menu prices according to budget
- Monitor revenues and labour costs
- Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Recruit staff and determine services to be offered
- Implement operational procedures
- Balance cash, prepare balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
- Cost products and services
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Negotiate with suppliers and clients for catering or facility use
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation
- Address customer complaints and provide customer service
- Manage events and lead/instruct staff
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Supervise and coordinate staff preparing and portioning food
- Establish work schedules
- Supervision of 3–10 people
