Job Details:

  • Salary: $34.50 hourly / 35 to 50 hours per week

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Work Setting:

  • Work must be completed on-site; no remote work option
  • Willing to relocate (relocation costs not covered by employer)
  • Budgetary responsibility: $500,001 – $1,500,000

Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
  • Develop budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour costs
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Recruit staff and set work schedules
  • Supervise and train staff
  • Determine types of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Cost products and services
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns and provide customer service
  • Manage events

Supervision:

  • Supervise more than 20 staff members

Credentials Required:

  • Food Safety Certificate

Experience and Specialization:

  • Computer and Technology Knowledge:
    • Proficient in spreadsheet software
