Job Details

Requirements

  • Language: English or French
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Asset, not mandatory
  • Licensing & Certifications:
    • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse in Ontario
    • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
    • CPR and First Aid Certificates
    • Personal Support Worker Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and bedside care
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance and companionship
  • Assist with mobility, exercise, and physical support
  • Support patients with dressing, bathing, grooming
  • Launder clothing and linens
  • Monitor therapies (respiratory, IV) and patient progress
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care and education
  • Change non-sterile dressings and collect specimens
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments and patient areas
