Job Details:

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Licensure: Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial dental assessments
  • Consult with dentists on patient care
  • Instruct patients on oral hygiene practices
  • Clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease
  • Apply fluoride treatments
  • Remove stains and deposits from teeth
  • Take, develop, and mount X-rays
  • Apply and remove temporary dressings
  • Remove sutures
