Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Licensure: Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial dental assessments
- Consult with dentists on patient care
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene practices
- Clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease
- Apply fluoride treatments
- Remove stains and deposits from teeth
- Take, develop, and mount X-rays
- Apply and remove temporary dressings
- Remove sutures
