Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
- Repair machine tools and parts
- Set up and adjust production machinery and tools
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Maintain inspection records and complete reports
- Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and other tools
- Operate conventional and CNC machine tools
- Program CNC machines
- Set up lathes, milling machines, grinders
Working Conditions:
- Work must be completed at the physical location
- Use of various measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, gauges, verniers
- Equipment experience: automatic lathes, boring machines, drill presses, milling machines, surface and tool grinders
- Operation type: grinding
- Technology knowledge: Mastercam CAD/CAM
