Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing layout
- Locate and mark pipe connections and fixture positions
- Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes and fittings
- Join pipes using various methods including soldering, brazing, and welding
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications
