Qualifications Necessary
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in photography
- Languages: English
Responsibilities of the Job
- Determine picture composition and make technical adjustments to equipment
- Photograph subjects and adapt existing photographic images to create new digitized images for multimedia products
- Operate computers to manipulate photographic images
- Study the requirements of particular assignments and decide on the type of camera, film, lighting, and background accessories to be used
- Take pictures of individuals, families, groups, and public events
- Use airbrush, computer, or other techniques to retouch negatives
- Utilize delicate instruments, such as optical microscopes attached to cameras
