Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Certificates: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve meal trays and feed patients
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
- Answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
- Perform other duties related to personal care and patient comfort
Working Conditions:
- Work must be completed at the physical location; no remote option
- Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
- Fast-paced environment; work under pressure; repetitive tasks
- Physically demanding; standing for extended periods
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking; bending, crouching, kneeling
- Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Security and safety: Immunization records, Vulnerable sector check, Tuberculosis test
- Transportation: Own travel expenses not paid by employer
