Qualifications Required
- Education: College, CEGEP, or non‑university diploma (1–2 years)
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Technical Skills: QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, MS Excel, MS Word
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare statements of earnings including gross/net salaries and deductions
- Store, update, and retrieve financial data
- Maintain filing systems and perform clerical duties
- Support HR functions such as personnel selection
- Prepare and balance period‑end reports and reconcile payrolls to bank statements
- Prepare monthly statements
- Complete and submit benefit administration documentation
- Inform employees about payroll and benefit plans
- Compile statistics and reports
- Maintain payroll systems
- Track attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate entitlements
- Prepare T4 statements and other payroll documents
- Perform data entry
