Qualifications Required

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or non‑university diploma (1–2 years)
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Technical Skills: QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, MS Excel, MS Word

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare statements of earnings including gross/net salaries and deductions
  • Store, update, and retrieve financial data
  • Maintain filing systems and perform clerical duties
  • Support HR functions such as personnel selection
  • Prepare and balance period‑end reports and reconcile payrolls to bank statements
  • Prepare monthly statements
  • Complete and submit benefit administration documentation
  • Inform employees about payroll and benefit plans
  • Compile statistics and reports
  • Maintain payroll systems
  • Track attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate entitlements
  • Prepare T4 statements and other payroll documents
  • Perform data entry
