Qualifications Required:
- Education: College or CEGEP certificate/diploma (1–2 years)
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate access and network use
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, workstations, and peripherals
- Monitor computer systems and network performance
- Evaluate and install hardware, networking software, and OS
- Resolve issues for network users
- Execute network start-up/shutdown procedures and maintain control records
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery
- Set up LANs and internet connections
- Install traffic/security monitoring tools and optimize servers
- Conduct security and quality tests
