Overview:

- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Work Environment:
- Work settings may include dusty and various remote locations, with frequent travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns professionally
- Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
- Arrange travel and related itineraries, and make reservations
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping
Credentials:
- Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)
- First Aid Certificate
Experience and Specialization:
- Knowledge of documentation including accident or incident reports, bills of lading, driver logbooks, and maintenance reports
- Experience with GPS and other navigation equipment
Transportation/Travel Experience:
- Local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, and short-haul driving experience
Additional Information:
- Security and Safety: Driver’s validity license check required
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s license required; willing to travel for extended periods and overnight
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads
- Physically demanding work with repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods
- Weight handling up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
