Job Details:

  • Location: Thornhill, ON
  • Salary: $26.00 to $28.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
  • Type of Employment: Permanent employment, Full-time
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Sales and marketing operations, Marketing management, Marketing research, English literature, etc.)
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies
  • Prepare written materials such as reports, briefs, and website content
  • Assist in preparing brochures, newsletters, and other communication materials
  • Gather, research, and prepare communications material
  • Initiate and maintain contact with the media
  • Design market research questionnaires
  • Develop a portfolio of marketing materials
  • Evaluate customer service and store environments
  • Conduct online marketing, e-commerce, and website promotions
  • Develop marketing strategies
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposiums
  • Maintain and manage a digital database
  • Write and edit press releases and communications materials
  • Supervise 1 to 2 office and volunteer staff

Experience and Specialization:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe creative suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), CSS, HTML editing software, Google Drive, WordPress, and more.
  • Specialization Areas:
    • Interactive/new media, project management, communications, brand management, digital media, and strategy.
