Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
- Maintain inventory of stored material
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and related devices
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of installations
Working Conditions:
- On-site work only (no remote option)
- Work environment includes confined spaces, dusty areas, and hot conditions
- Physically demanding tasks including handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colours required
