Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
- Fields of Study: Electrical and electronics engineering, Manufacturing engineering technology, Mechanical engineering technology, Tool and die technology
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Certificates: Hoisting and Rigging Training, Forklift Operator Certification
Job Responsibilities:
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Fabricate parts and perform routine maintenance
- Operate machining tools and hoisting/lifting equipment
- Install machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications
Working Conditions:
- Work must be completed at the physical location; no remote option
- Work setting: Machinery installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, machine set-up, manufacturing or production
- Physically demanding; handling heavy loads (more than 45 kg)
- Standing for extended periods; bending, crouching, kneeling
- Requires own transportation, vehicle, and valid driver’s licence
- Own tools and equipment: Tools, steel-toed safety boots
