Job Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
- Repair machine tools and parts
- Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerances
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
Credentials Required:
- Machinist Trade Certification
- Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification
- Machinist Red Seal Endorsement
Experience and Specialization:
- Proficient with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and verniers
- Specialized machining processes including Plasma ARC, Laser beam, and Water jet
- Experience with boring machines, drill presses, engine lathes, milling machines, and other machining tools
Additional Information:
- Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract) required
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s license required
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
