Job Overview:
As a Kitchen Supervisor at Minami Restaurant Toronto, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure that food quality meets our high standards. Your leadership and culinary expertise will be essential in maintaining a productive kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
- Hire food service staff and ensure compliance with quality control standards
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Prepare budget and cost estimates, as well as food order summaries for the chef
- Address customer complaints and ensure satisfaction
Requirements:
- Languages: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 2 years in a supervisory role in a kitchen setting
- Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate
- Specialization: Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques
