Responsibilities:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff involved in preparing and portioning food.
  • Train kitchen staff in their job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Hire and onboard food service staff as needed.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for kitchen operations.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen activities and food orders for the chef.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires on-site work; remote work is not an option.
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment that may involve standing for extended periods and handling physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a kitchen supervisory role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres is essential.
