Qualifications Required:
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma (3 months to less than 1 year)
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other components
- Replace or repair electrical components
- Test electrical/electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Maintain, repair, test, and install motors, generators, batteries, and control systems
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical/electronic control systems
- Interpret electrical code specifications
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain records
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
