Job Details:

  • Location: Barrie, ON
  • Salary: $26.80 hourly / 35 hours per week
  • Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
  • Hours of Work: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Qualifications Needed:

  • Education: College/CEGEP in Social Work or a related field
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a relevant role, specifically in immigration services

Work Setting:

  • On-site work; there is no option to work remotely.
  • Work primarily in associations and non-profit organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and develop social programs
  • Plan and coordinate social services
  • Conduct demographic, social, and economic analyses
  • Conduct research and perform administrative tasks
  • Counsel individuals on daily-life issues and monitor/evaluate program effectiveness
  • Maintain records and statistics
  • Coordinate workshops and conduct psychosocial assessments

Experience and Specialization:

  • Experience in immigration and settlement services is preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check required
  • Transportation/Travel: Willing to travel regularly; must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
