Qualifications
- Education: College/CEGEP
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Certificates: First Aid Certificate
Job Responsibilities
- Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
- Coordinate HR department activities to meet organizational goals
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies and programs
- Review HR projects for legal compliance
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
- Plan and implement recruitment strategies
- Research and prepare job descriptions and salary scales
- Administer employment equity and other HR programs
- Manage contracts and employee appraisal programs
- Manage training and development strategies
- Oversee analysis of employee data and information
- Research employee benefits and health and safety practices
- Oversee communication strategies and report preparation
- Advise senior management
- Respond to employee questions and complaints
- Hire, train, and supervise staff (more than 20 people)
- Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants
- Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures
- Evaluate work environments and programs for health and safety
