Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 5 years or more
- Credentials: Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to plan operations
- Operate heavy equipment using ISO and SAE joystick control patterns
- Read and apply specifications to determine work requirements
- Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment tanks
- Measure distance, volume, length, and weight
- Operate computer-controlled equipment
- Use and understand MSDS documentation
- Complete onboard logs and accident reports
- Conduct pre-operational checks and secure attachments
- Operate GPS and navigation equipment, two-way radios, and hydraulic pumping systems
- Perform minor repairs to equipment
Working Conditions:
- On-site work only, no remote option
- Outdoor work environment
- Requires steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, safety vest, and gloves
