Qualifications Required:
- Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and inspect heavy equipment and trucks to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose issues using computerized and other testing equipment.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, including major internal engine repairs or overhauls.
- Perform repairs on various systems: fuel injection, exhaust, cooling, air conditioning, lubrication, and engine control.
- Verify and repair emission control systems and perform welding as required.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure work meets manufacturers’ specifications.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on trucks and attachments.
- Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
Working Conditions:
- On-site physical work at the service location.
- Requires technical proficiency with diesel engine systems and specialized machinery alignment.
