- Hours of Work: 32 to 40 hours per week; Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning shifts

Qualifications Necessary
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in hairstyling
- Credentials: Hairstylist Licence
Responsibilities of the Job
- Advise clients on beauty care treatments
- Analyze hair and scalp condition
- Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
- Provide custom hair and scalp treatments
- Shampoo customers’ hair
- Shave and trim beards and mustaches
- Provide hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting, including scalp conditioning massages
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair
- Apply hair extensions
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair
- Suggest hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features and preferences
Work Environment
- Work Site Environment: Noisy, with potential odours typical of a hairstyling salon
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment; standing for extended periods; attention to detail is crucial
