Key Responsibilities
As a Greenhouse Worker, your primary duties will include:
- Cleaning the crops and maintaining the greenhouse environment.
- Hand harvesting vegetables and tying and securing plants.
- Spraying or dusting plants with insecticides and fungicides as needed.
- Assisting in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.
- Reporting signs of insect or disease damage to supervisors.
- Cleaning work areas to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
Qualifications
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train; no prior experience necessary.
Skills Required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Capacity to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
- Work conditions may include wet/damp environments, hot temperatures, and exposure to odours.
- Parking is available on-site.
