Job Details:

- Workplace: On site (Floriculture production / Outdoor / Wet/damp / Hot / Remote location)
- Salary: $17.95 hourly
- Hours: 50 to 60 hours per week

Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Equipment & Machinery Experience: Forklift, irrigation pumps and equipment, mechanical seeder, mechanical sprayer
- Security & Safety: Criminal record check required
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean crops, clear and collect brush/debris from fields, and perform general greenhouse cleaning
- Mix soils and fertilizers, water, spray/dust plants with insecticides and fungicides, and tend to plants
- Plant bulbs/seeds, cut seeds, pot/re-pot plants, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
- Tie and secure plants, weed, and consider water saturation, light, and temperature for germination
- Clean work areas and operate relevant farm and irrigation equipment
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a large workload
- Exposure to wet/damp, hot outdoor, and greenhouse environments
- Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, or kneeling
- Weight handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Requirements: Steel-toed safety boots
- Transportation: Public transportation is not available; travel expenses not paid by employer
