Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary school graduation certificate
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Credentials:
- Working at heights training
- WHMIS Certificate
Job Responsibilities:
- Determine glass type and materials
- Read blueprints and specifications
- Measure, mark, cut, and install glass
- Assemble prefabricated glass products
- Repair glass structures
- Supervise and instruct apprentices
- Prepare shop drawings
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding and rigging
Working Conditions:
- At heights and outdoors
- Physically demanding with heavy loads
- Standing, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Must work on site
- Bondable, criminal record check, and driver’s licence check required
- Valid driver’s licence and own transportation
- Steel-toed safety boots required
