Responsibilities
- Clean the crops
- Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
- Grade vegetables and fruits according to size, shape, colour, and volume
- Clean greenhouses
- Hand harvest vegetables
- Mix fertilizers
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- Fertilize and spray crops
- Harvest crops
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
- Examine product for quality and readiness for market
- Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
