About the Job:
We are currently seeking dedicated General Construction Labourers to join our team in North York. This role is ideal for individuals who are hardworking and reliable, with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
- Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications to prepare sites for building.
- Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse.
- Perform routine maintenance work to ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Remove rubble and debris from construction sites to maintain safety and cleanliness.
Work Environment:
- Work will primarily take place outdoors in various conditions, including noisy, dusty, and cold/refrigerated or hot environments.
- You will be working on construction sites that require adherence to safety protocols.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Fast-paced environment with the ability to work under pressure.
- Physically demanding role requiring handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).
- Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination are essential.
- Will involve repetitive tasks and working to tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction is an asset, but training will be provided.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required.
