Qualifications Necessary
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within food service
- Languages: English
Responsibilities of the Job
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports
- Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys
- Establish work schedules for staff supervision (5-10 people)
Work Environment
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, often noisy and hot; must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling
