Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces
- Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
- Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors
- Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
- Prepare floors and remove existing coverings
- Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces
- Use knee kickers and other stretching equipment
- Perform glue-down and double-bond carpet installations
- Install outdoor carpets and resilient stair components
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding
