Job Details:

  • Location: 251 Bank Street, Suite 700, Ottawa, ON, K2P 1X3
  • Salary: $34.90 hourly / 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications Necessary:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems
  • Analyze clients’ financial records
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies
  • Prepare reports and audit findings
  • Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement, and estate planning
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
  • Arrange for the sale of financial products and investments
  • Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act and other statutory requirements
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation
  • Analyze financial documents and reports
  • Examine accounting records
  • Provide financial, business, and tax advice
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Oversee payroll administration

Supervision:

  • Supervise more than 20 people

Credentials Required:

  • Provincial or territorial license
